Hi, I’m Alison Newhouse, founder and principal designer of Alison Newhouse Interiors, a boutique interior design studio based in Boise, Idaho.

My love for design began long before my career in interiors. After studying Visual Communications at FIDM, I spent over a decade in the fashion industry, including owning and operating a women's clothing boutique in Southern California. Those years shaped my creative perspective and deepened my appreciation for color, texture, proportion, and the art of bringing beautiful things together.

I've never been one to define my style by a single aesthetic. I'm drawn to the character of traditional design, the clean lines of contemporary spaces, and the unexpected details that give a room personality. I love the balance of old and new, the mix of materials, and interiors that feel thoughtfully collected rather than overly coordinated.

Today, I bring that same perspective to residential and commercial interiors. My approach is rooted in thoughtful design, attention to detail, and a belief that every space should reflect the people who experience it. I strive to create interiors that feel refined yet inviting, timeless yet interesting, and always personal.

Outside of design, you'll often find me drawing inspiration from fashion, art, travel, and the little details of everyday life. I've always believed that our personal style and the spaces we surround ourselves with are closely connected.

At the heart of it all, I simply love creating beautiful spaces that feel as good as they look.
